SHOT 2015: .308 ARs From Diamondback

New at the 2015 SHOT Show is a line of .308/7.62 ARs from Diamondback Firearms. The DB10 series integrates many of the industry’s finest components into a platform based on Diamondback’s research into what makes a good AR-10 style gun. Two models, the base DB10 and the DB10E are the initial offerings in the line. Both are available in either black or flat dark earth.

The DB10s have an 18-inch heavy barrel with a 1:10 twist rate. The DB10 has an A2-style flash hider while a JPTRE-42 compensator from JP Enterprises comes on the DB10E. The upper and lower receivers are CNC machined billet aluminum. The lower comes with a custom enlarged trigger guard and a crisp 3.5-pound single stage CMC trigger. DB10s come with either the Magpul MOE Plus grips on the DB10 or Ergo Sure Grip grips on the DB10E.

The DB10 comes with a Magpul ACS buttstock while the DB10E upgrades this to a Magpul PRS. Both rifles come with KeyMod handguards with standard rails running along the top.

The DB10 weighs in at 8.5 pounds while the DB10E weighs 10.5 pounds. The DB10 has an overall length of 39 inches with the stock fully extended while the DB10E is an inch longer.
