USA Archery Sees Record Membership Growth to Start 2021

USA Archery is currently experiencing its largest membership gain in many years. In the first quarter of the year, more than 2,000 archers became members of USA Archery, with the largest monthly growth coming in March, when more than 600 archers joined the organization. Excitement around archery is growing nationwide as the organization pushes towards the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

USA Archery CEO Rod Menzer said, “We feel archery is the perfect sport to get outdoors with your family and friends. Many families took up archery as a fun outdoor activity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that public health guidelines are relaxing, these new archery enthusiasts are seeking lessons and programs at an astounding rate.”

Menzer added, “The introduction of USA Archery’s Free Trial Memberships for archers in our partner organizations and Explore Archery programs will also help to many new archers participate in our programs and events. With opportunities for entry level, developmental, collegiate, adaptive, adult and high performance archery programs, USA Archery can provide the perfect pathway to success for archers of any age and ability.”

USA Archery events are also flooding the calendar with a record number of state championships this past indoor season. The desire to compete has never been stronger for many athletes who were able to spend more time practicing in the past year. For those who have never experienced the thrill of an archery competition, there will surely be an increasing number of events on the calendar during the upcoming outdoor season, to test skills and meet new friends.
