During the recent Archery Shooter’s Association (ASA) Pro/Am in Paris, Texas, Team Mathews won 7 of 12 podium spots.

Team Mathews Archers Dominate at ASA in Paris, Texas

Team Mathews secured 7 of 12 podium spots across four pro divisions at the recent ASA Pro/Am in Paris, Texas. Mathews’ shooters took home three first place finishes, which included a clean sweep of Men’s Open Pro.

Dan McCarthy dominated the weekend in Men’s Open Pro, earning top honors. His teammates Levi Morgan and Chris Hacker took home second and third, respectively (below).

“There were a lot of fellow Mathews shooters in the shootdown this weekend,” McCarthy said. “I’m proud to be a part of a team that has so much continued success.”

Emily McCarthy (Dan’s wife) secured first place in the Women’s Open Pro, and Remington Boyer placed first, and Chris Perkins placed second in Men’s Known Pro. Finally, Tim Boykin secured third place in Senior Pro.

The Archery Shooter's Association tournament tour consists of tournaments across the country. ASA Pro Division competitors shoot two rounds of twenty targets. These targets vary in distance up to 50 yards, and the five highest scores from the first two rounds qualify for the shoot down to decide the winner.
