Vanguard Partners With World Archery

Vanguard OpticsVanguard and World Archery have partnered for the 2019 season with the optics brand set to provide on-field scopes at events on the Hyundai Archery World Cup circuit and at the Hyundai World Archery Championships.

The company is the first in the optics sector to join World Archery's industry sponsorship program.

During the televised finals of international archery events, coaches are permitted to use a spotting scope from their box behind the athletes. Previously, coaches have used their own scopes. Instead, in 2019, Vanguard's Endeavour HD 82A spotting scopes and VEO 2 264 CB Carbon Tripods (photo below) will be placed on the field. This will allow for microphones and cameras to be attached to each scope stand, further enhancing World Archery's broadcast coverage.

World Archery Secretary General Tom Dielen said: "This new partnership gives us flexibility and an opportunity to innovate our broadcast product, but it would only be possible if we were certain the equipment we were placing on the field would live up to the expectations of our athletes and coaches."

Vanguard
Vanguard was founded in 1986, and its range of sporting optics, including spotting scopes, binoculars and tripods, has become popular with target and field archers worldwide.

Vanguard Senior Marketing Manager Harold Jankowiak said: "Sporting optics might not attach to an archer's bow, but they are still critical pieces of equipment. Accurately spotting arrows can mean the difference between victory and defeat. We're proud to be supplying high-performance optics for use at world-class archery competitions this season. Many Vanguard employees are avid archers, and the company is committed to supporting archers at all levels."
