Matt Ohlson has been named Vice President, Industrial Sales, for Sierra Bullets.

Ohlson brings more than 20 years of experience in the commercial, military, domestic, and international ammunition, firearms and shooting accessories industry, having served in a variety of roles with several major ammunition and firearms brands.

With his experience, Sierra looks forward to expanding its longtime relationships with U.S. and international ammunition OEMs and government agency customers alike.

Celerant Teams With NASGW for SCOPE CLX Integration

 Celerant Technology, a leading provider of innovative retail solutions for the firearms industry, has integrated with SCOPE CLX, a business analytics program for the shooting sports industry.

Celerant is a preferred POS provider for SCOPE CLX, which is owned and managed by the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW), and supported by industry partners including the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). Through an integration with Celerant’s point of sale solution, the CLX will aggregate data from Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) retailers across the country to empower dealers with information on consumer demand and product trends, while supporting industry growth.

NASGW SCOPE is an industry-owned, distributor-led initiative to collect and analyze data that supports shooting sports industry businesses. SCOPE CLX, powered by eComSystems, Inc., along with Celerant’s point of sale, will support retailer businesses with data on consumer demand based on stores across the country. The aggregated, anonymous data will show market trends, popular products by region and more.

Kahr Firearms Group's “Presidential Desert Eagle” is a .50AE pistol that will be distributed exclusively by Davidson’s Inc. The artists at Outlaw Ordnance ornately engraved the slide and frame with detailed illustrations depicting President Trump, his signature, motto, title and elegant scrollwork. Within the scrollwork are hidden “Easter eggs” commemorating various achievements throughout his life. The left side of the slide denotes his status as “45th President of the United States.” The polished Hogue aluminum grips contain the Presidential Seal, and images of the Trump family. All metal surfaces on the gun are matte stainless.

Each Presidential Desert Eagle starts life as a Magnum Research model DE50SRMB. The barrel is 6 inches long with an integral muzzle brake and rail for optics mounting. The frame features a rail for accessories. Sights are fixed, combat type. The entire gun is made in the United States, from stainless steel. One seven round magazine is included. The Presidential Desert Eagle (DE50SRMBC1) has an MSRP of $3,007.

Trijicon Licenses DLOC Solutions Portfolio

Trijicon has licensed DLOC Solutions’ full mounting and accessory portfolio and underlying technologies.

“Licensing the DLOC portfolio is an exciting step for Trijicon and allows us to provide the market with high performance optic mounts and firearm accessories to accompany the full array of Trijicon optics," said Trijicon President & CEO Stephen Bindon. "We are pleased to work closely with DLOC founder and designer Mark Deros, who has a track record of product innovation.”

Under the terms of the licensing agreement, Trijicon has exclusive global manufacturing and distribution rights to the line of patented, return-to-zero optic mounts. The portfolio also includes highly regarded muzzle brakes, bi-pods, tripods, and additional firearm accessories.

Deros will serve as an advisor and consultant to Trijicon, helping to transfer manufacturing and operations knowledge and bring new products to market. The first of this family of products to be produced by Trijicon will be quick-detach mounts for the Trijicon RMR and MRO.

The product portfolio features machined aluminium mounts with patented DLOC technology for long-range precision shooters, military and law enforcement, and 3-gun competitors. It also includes a wide variety of firearm accessories designed to address the frustrations experienced by military and law enforcement users, as well as hunting and shooting consumers.

Heckler & Koch Begins Shipping M110A1 Rifles

Heckler & Koch Defense has begun shipping M110A1 Squad Designated Marksman Rifles to the U.S. Army. This shipment is the first of many that will eventually total between 5,000 and 6,000 complete weapon systems.

The new HK rifle is a variant of the 7.62 mm G28/HK417. Under terms of the agreement, the rifles, which are manufactured by HK in Oberndorf, Germany, are first shipped to the HK-USA facility in Columbus, Ga.

There, HK-USA workers install scopes and mounts purchased by the Army under a separate agreement. Additionally, HK-USA staff kit the scoped rifles with additional accessories from 12 other U.S.-based manufacturers to round out the complete SDMR weapon system delivered to the Army. Heckler & Koch will also provide spare parts, support, and training.
