If you’re a veteran of the ATA Trade Show, you know the ATA seeks to provide members with diverse educational opportunities every year at the Show. With the cancellation of the in-person Show, we’re moving our education offerings online with a full week of opportunities planned during ATA 2021 Online, Jan. 11-15, 2021.

What to Expect

The week will begin with the new Archery Industry Masterclass series on Monday, Jan. 11 and Tuesday, Jan. 12. Members and nonmembers can sign up to attend the Masterclass through the MyATA Learning Center. The series is $79 for members and $500 for nonmembers, and offers courses in four main tracks: Business, Marketing, Coaching, and Archery Tech. The fee provides access to every course in every track.

ATA 2021 Online will conclude with three days of free education sessions Wednesday, Jan. 13 through Friday, Jan. 15. The education sessions require an ATA membership to access and will feature some of the seminars and Coffee Talks that were previously scheduled for the in-person Show. For live-streamed sessions, viewers can ask the presenter questions in the Q&A box. For recorded sessions, viewers can interact with other attendees in the message board. Although the session isn’t live, anyone attending the session can have discussions in the comments section. With both options, you can reap the benefits of the networking opportunities that you’ve come to expect from the ATA Trade Show.

Here’s a preview of a few sessions that will be offered during ATA 2021 Online.

Archery Industry Masterclass

Members and nonmembers can register for the Masterclass sessions for an additional fee through the Masterclass registration page on the MyATA Learning Center. Registering early will give attendees access to pre-Show content that will debut on the MyATA Learning Center by mid-December 2020. The pre-Show content is foundational, so attendees will get the most out of their Masterclass experience if they watch the pre-Show content before attending the ATA 2021 Online sessions and tune in to the live sessions ready to dive deeper into topics and ask questions to the presenter. Attendees will be able to view the remainder of the Masterclass content as it airs during ATA 2021 Online and watch the sessions again at a later date. The Masterclass sessions will be available for review on the MyATA Learning Center for anyone that purchased access soon after the virtual Show concludes.

Marketing Track – “Social Media Storytelling”

Hannah Stonehouse Hudson will present a Masterclass session on how to create a storytelling strategy and connect with customers on social media. She will also cover the technical details for each social media platform to help you reach a bigger audience.

“Not only do your fans and potential customers want to know about you, your products, and your company’s background, but social media platforms and their algorithms reward pages and accounts that create useful and engaging content that add value to online communities,” Hudson said.

Hudson will present her Masterclass session at 10 a.m. CST on Monday, Jan. 11.

Education Sessions

Previously labelled as seminars and Coffee Talks, these sessions will be one hour or less and will be available to members online for free in the MyATA Learning Center’s content library beginning Wednesday, Jan. 13. The sessions will be permanently uploaded to the site this spring, 2021.

Manufacturer Presentation – “Avoid the Attorneys: Tips for Managing Legal issues in Product Safety, Compliance, and Liability”

Jay Thompson, partner at Nelson Mullins, will give a presentation for manufacturers on how to comply with product safety requirements in the design, manufacturing, import, sale, and post-sale of your products.

“This presentation will take a positive approach, not a negative approach, to ways manufacturers and distributors can benefit and grow their brand by understanding legal requirements,” Thompson said.

Thompson will present his education session at 10 a.m. CST on Friday, Jan. 15.

Retailer Presentation – “Making Money in Small Towns”

Korbin Williams, owner of Korbin’s Archery in Seminole, Texas, will give a presentation for retailers on how to maximize store potential in a small town environment.

“My goal is to teach dealers how to be successful in their shop despite a perceived market size,” Williams said. “Our attendees will learn about profit and marketing using other local businesses to extend their outreach as well as integrating social media beyond just making sales.”

Williams will present his education session at 8:30 a.m. CST on Friday, Jan. 15.
