Varmints Beware: Benjamin Gen2 Fortitude PCP Air Rifle

Velocity Outdoor has released the second generation of its Benjamin Fortitude, a pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air rifle available in .177 or .22 caliber.

The Gen2 Fortitude has an adjustable hammer spring that will allow the shooter to adjust the gun to maximize velocity or shot count, or settle at a nice middle ground for each. The hammer spring comes from the factory with four turns, providing up 850 fps (.177) and 750 fps (.22) for up to 90 shots. The user can crank the preload up to six turns to get up to 950 fps (.177) and 800 fps (.22) for up to 60 shots, or back it off completely to zero turns for up to 650 fps (.177) and 600 fps (.22) for up to 200 shots.

Additionally, the new Gen2 Fortitude has a 34-percent reduction in cocking effort, with an improved balance in the hammer-and-vvalve spring setup and a 20-percent reduction in the trigger pull weight.

The Gen2 Fortitude is a multi-shot repeater with a regulator that uses interchangeable 10-shot rotary magazines for bolt-action firing. It features a lightweight all-weather ergonomic stock. The built-in regulator on the 3,000 PSI reservoir controls the output air pressure for shot-to-shot consistency.

The MSRP of the Benjamin Gen2 Fortitude is $299.99. For more information, visit www.crosman.com.
