Elite Archery’s Alexis Ruiz Celebrates First Indoor Archery World Series Win

Alexis Ruiz, shooting an Elite Archery Victory X, took home the gold medal in the second leg of the Indoor Archery World Series, which took place in Macau, China. “This is my first pro win for World Archery, and I feel great,” Ruiz said. “This whole weekend went well for me from practice to qualifications to scoring. My form was feeling solid, and I was aiming really well. I am still so excited and happy from winning the gold medal. This tournament has given me even more confidence going into Rome for the third stage of the Indoor World Series in 2 weeks. Thank you to everyone who supports me. Thank you to Coach Mel Nichols for being there for me. And thank you to all of my sponsors for making such amazing equipment.”The Indoor Archery World Series opened in Strassen, Luxembourg, as the first of three “250-series” open-entry indoor tournaments. As noted by Alexis Ruiz, the third international event takes place in Rome. As in previous tournaments, the Rome event will draw competitors from around the globe. All entrants will be listed in World Archery’s new open-ranking system, while the top 16 finishers in each discipline will receive points toward their elite ranking, which decides who is invited to the Indoor Archery World Series Final in Las Vegas in February 2019. “Alexis Ruiz has consistently shown us throughout the year that she has the passion, drive and talent to be one of the world’s best,” said Elite Archery Pro Staff Manager Darrin Christenberry. “She continues to improve as an archer and has proven herself a top competitor — we expect to see amazing things from her this indoor season.” About Elite Archery and The Outdoor Group Established in 2012 and headquartered in Henrietta, New York, The Outdoor Group is parent company to the premier brands of Elite Archery, Duel Game Calls, Scott Archery, Custom Bow Equipment, Winner’s Choice Custom Bowstrings, Slick Trick Broadheads, Solid Broadheads, CAMX Crossbows, and Lynch Mob Calls.
