Real Avid Launches the Pro Shop Upgrade Program

DIY gunsmithing is becoming more popular by the day. People are taking to their own workbenches to build and clean their firearms instead of relying on gun manufacturers and shops. The Pro Shop Upgrade program from Real Avid was created to help make supplying home builders easier for retailers.

“There is a new breed of gun owner emerging,” says Howard Tipp, chief innovation officer for Real Avid. “From AR15s to handguns to precision rifles and tactical shotguns, these highly motivated enthusiasts are hands-on and have a personal ‘can do’ and ‘want to,’ attitude for maintaining, building and equipping their guns.”

Real Avid provides a vast assortment of firearm tools and supplies developed specifically for at home gunsmiths. Their products allow people to build, customize, clean and modify guns from the comfort of their own home or garage.

The Pro Shop Upgrade program is available to Real Avid dealers and designed to help them simplify entry into the DIY arena. It offers retail-ready merchandising options for any retail environment. The program aims to give dealers several options of layouts, designs, and custom planograms by supplying them with signage, mounting hardware, inventory backer cards and installation instructions. Supplied signage includes aisle headers, endcap presentations and aisle violator signs.

“This Pro Shop Upgrade program amplifies our assortments and takes our in-store merchandising to a new level,” says Dave Steiner, president of Real Avid. “These plan-o-grammed assortments, with crisp merchandising elements, will set the high-bar for how gun tools and gun cleaning products should be presented, making it easier for the store and the consumer to find solutions and solve their gun maintenance needs.”

By providing informative product packaging, logical organization and category structure, Real Avid says the goal of the Pro Shop Upgrade program is to help veteran and novice customers find what they are looking for and even discover items they don’t know they need.
